Robin Walker Speaks on Future TF2 Updates
Aside from MMOs, Team Fortress 2 is one of the most updated PC games in existence. From bug fixes to new weapons and even a crafting system, the game has had over 100 updates since its release two years ago. This consistent addition of new content has created a dedicated community of players, myself included. Little more than a month after the hugely popular War update, Community Fortress has posted an interview with TF2 designer Robin Walker, wherein he discusses the future of TF2 updates.
With the Engineer being the only class without a weapons update, many expect the Engineer update to be the last major update to TF2. Not according to Walker, who says that the game will see several major updates, some even before the Engineer. Walker explains that because the updates build upon each other it becomes easier and easier to make updates as time goes on. That’s good to hear, hopefully we’ll see the Engineer update soon because with the weapons added in the War update, the Engineer is having an awfully hard time keeping up.
Walker also goes on to confirm two major updates: item trading and a system that allows the community to implement their own items into the game. While item trading sounds nice, a native system to make custom weapons and hats could completely change the way the game is played. My only concern is if the system will just encourage players to make penis shaped guns firing penis shaped projectiles a la Spore: Creature Creator.

Now where the balls are the 360 updates? I don’t have a sufficient rig to play on PC. My laptop doesn’t handle it well, i tried it during the first free weekend.
Obviously nobody has seen the Thor dildo scout bat model replacement for TF2
Robert Walker? I know about Kevin walker but didn’t realise Robin had ANOTHER brother working at Valve ;)

For those wondering about b00bie’s comment. The author has fixed his mistake in the title but has not done so in the URL (see top of your browser) without so much as a nod to b00bies. Quality blogging strikes again!
