CES ’10: Canadian Man Tasered For Your Pleasure (With Video!)
This post has nothing to do with videogames. I just thought you folks would appreciate it.
Strolling into the South Hall at CES on Friday, I had one mission: Find the Boxee Box. I went into that hall intending to get pictures of that device (which I did), but what I encountered here was so much better.
This company, named ‘”appropriately enough’” Taser, has some new product that allows you to monitor your child’s phone calls by forwarding them through your own phone first. Honestly, it seems like a very practical and effective method for keeping tabs on your kids.
The marketing method they employed at CES didn’t really have anything to do with the product being advertised, but I’ll be damned if it’s not effective. They asked for a volunteer to be tasered ‘”yes, tasered’” and surprisingly got one. The willing victim was a Canadian man with a cheery disposition.
After a ten-minute sales pitch while the man signed dozens of waivers, this happened:

Maybe they can build this into your child’s phone so if hes talking about something inappropriate the phone just gives him a mild….reminder.
I definately do appreciate it.
See America, we have idiots too.
I found the the old guy’s face with red sweater to be more entertaining.
