Next Call of Duty Taking Place in Vietnam
It was a rumor before but now it has been confirmed: Call of Duty Is going to ‘Nam.
While details are few regarding the actual content of the game, Activision has confirmed that the game will indeed be released before the “gifting season”, i.e sometime in November.
Shocking that ANOTHER Call of Duty is coming out, isn’t it? While I thank the Gods that it is not another World War 2 game, Vietnam sounds like a very strange territory for Call of Duty to go. Mostly because America didn’t win that war and considering how touchy the subject of the Vietnam war is. I would not be surprised to see controversy arise around the game, perhaps even more than Modern Warfare 2 had.
As for the actual content of the game, and considering the actual events of the war, I’d guess gameplay would consist more of sickening displays of torture and civilian murder than enough patriotism to crush a bald eagle to death with.
But hey, less Jingoistic “America Fuck Yeah!!” can only be a good thing, right?

Shows how much attention I pay to these things, I thought World At War was set in Nam. In my defence all foreigners look the same.
This might be more interesting than Modern Warfare 2.
