IsCrapBecause.It Tentatively Launches A Beta

Don’t worry, we’ve not turned into a web start-up blog. However, this is one start up I’d like you all to keep your eye’s on, partly because it’s mine. May I present to you; IsCrapBecause.It.

First, a bit of background. A lot of the new developments that have been coming to Negative Gamer over the past few months (e.g. the review system) have been long in the planning and still have a way to go before I would call them complete. There are many more ideas due in the coming months; most are in the form of paper notes floating around my room. One idea, the is-crap-because database, has been spun out into its own site and is now in open beta.

Originally the new toy was designed to operate as a sub-section of Negative Gamer, tied into our games system as a form of user reviews; each game got an accompanying list of reasons why it’s crap. Fairly soon on I realised it would be much easier to develop on its own, and only once I’m happy with it, intergrate it back with this place.

So, watch for wet paint, and enjoy wasting hours of your time. Also, I’m always after feedback.
