More Details on Virtual Avatar Crap That Morons Will Buy Announced
I think I’m getting legitimately annoyed whilst writing this. My keyboard is actually being hammered as the thoughts of what I need to pass to you, the reader, are punching the inside of my brain and forcing me to comprehend the dire state of things. Think I’m exaggerating? Microsoft used the word “Recessionista” to describe some of the “Unique Fashions” of Xbox Avatar clothes that’ll soon be on sale for you to buy. Recession-fucking-ista.
Get off my god damn games console! Go away! Just leave me alone! I just want to play a video game in peace. The idea of paying for something, that’s paying for something, to go on a virtual version of you so that you look like you are good at saving money and are hip drives me mad. I don’t even know why, it just does. What’s that? If you don’t want to have a hipster-prick avatar you can get “Adidas” and “Quiksilver” branded shit too!? Oh fucking great! Why don’t you slice my Achilles tendon whilst I stand in a bath of brine.
The announcement also mentioned you can pay to have adverts for Halo, BioShock and some other games on your avatar too, but after talking about the phrase “recessionista” for the previous two paragraphs I don’t think I can muster any more anger. Why can’t they just fix or improve the gaming bits in the Xbox instead of just being shit? I hate capitalism.

I totally agree. While I have built up a certain tolerance to all this avatar shit, the Recessionista category really made me baulk. It reminds me of the ‘Derelicte’ clothing line from Zoolander. Except slightly shittier.
