Master Chief Costume Looks Nothing Like Master Chief
Comic book geeks in the UK will no doubt be familiar with Forbidden Planet, a chain of shops purveying all things nerd. Essentially this means they sell a lot of over-priced tat that no one in their right mind would actually pay good money for.
This includes a rather wonderful Master Chief costume. Yes, for just £23.99 you too can look almost exactly, but not quite, completely unlike the hero of the popular Halo series.
Where to start? It’s the wrong shade of green. The model appears to have hooves. And it looks like a gimp suit. It’s as if they had a bunch of Stig costumes that went a bit mouldy, and must now be sold on the cheap.
What depresses is me is there must be a market for these things. Some company has decided “hey, gamers are a bunch of idiots, let’s sell them some crap”, and you know what? It’s probably so successful that they’re already working on the matching Cortana outfit.
I can guarantee this will sell out as soon as it comes in stock at the London FP Superstore. They go crazy for this sort of shit in there.

I remember that costume. It showed up at Spencer’s during Halloween. Even though the costume’s crap I think anyone wanting to make their own costume out of it could use it as a back drop.
