Waste Money On Slimer Edition of Ghostbusters
If you thought the Arkham Asylum collector’s edition was going to be the most overpriced Collector’s Edition this year, you thought wrong. Amazon has got an exclusive “Slimer Edition” deal for the upcoming Ghostbuster’s videogame. Costing a whopping $130, you’d expect to be getting some value, right? Not a chance. Here’s what you’ll be getting, courtesy of Amazon:
- An exclusive Slimer bust designed and created by the original movie sculptor, Steve Johnson. Comes complete with a certificate of authenticity signed by the sculptor himself.
- Exclusive Ghostbusters Minimates. Only be available with the Slimer Edition.
- Exclusive Ghostbusters Gamer Graffix Console Skins.
- Exclusive Ecto 1 Key Chain with lights and sound.
Apparently Atari has no clue that we’re in a recession at the moment, but regardless, $130 for that?
If I want a crappy key chain toy, I’ll go to McDonalds (and throw away the food, thank you.) Console Skins do not justify the price, nor do some little “Minimates”. The only item of semi-value would be the Slimer bust with a most likely reprinted signature. This package is worth at the most $80, not $130. The only people I see buying this are Ghostbuster fanatics, and that’s really pushing it. I’m sure you could spend $70 on Ghostbuster memorabilia then buy the $60 separately and get a whole hell of a better deal.

Nah mate those Gamer Graffix [Lets spell things wrong to be cool, Atari!] are a great bargain and are easily worth $100 a pop
I’ll probably end up with the Arkham collectors due my whorishness (wow that is actually a word!) with all things Batman but I’m gonna pass on this whole deal. At least I get a Batarang and a sweet leather book of some kind.
Yeah, I actually think that the CE of that is pretty nice.
Sounds like a bunch of crap to me. I’ll save my hard earned money for something else, thanks.
