Buy Resident Evil 5, Win A Trip To Waverly Hills

Want a copy of Resident Evil 5? I do. Want a trip to Waverly Hills Sanatorium? Eh, not so much, seeing as it’s fifteen minutes away from my house. However, if you’re unlike myself and reside somewhere other than Louisville, Kentucky, then head to your local Game Crazy now.

The retailer is hosting a promotion that will grant five buyers of Resident Evil 5 a trip to Louisville, KY to tour the “haunted sanatorium.” Except it’s not haunted, it’s just full of hobos and birds.  There’s also a tunnel that forces you to descend over 9,000 stairs to reach the end of. That’s the “death tunnel,” except no corpses are being slid past there these days. Now they’re throwing the carcass of every poor fellow who spent money on the new Chun Li movie down there. It’s sad, really.

Inside five boxes, a T-Virus icon will lay dormant – that’s how you know you’re a winner. Though I am tempted to purchase my copy from a participating Game Crazy, I feel that I would be getting ripped off just a bit, seeing as I could visit the sanatorium at any point during each day. More appropriate winners may bring a guest with them on the journey, which is slated for July 11-12th.

If you’re not interested in a trip to a dilapidated hospital, then check out Hollywood Video and Movie Gallery. T-Virus stickers there indicate a free year of movie and game rentals; both of which are more useful than a trip to a sanatorium that is, while beautiful, not scary.

Or, if you think this entire contest is lame and you’d rather live somewhere where Capcom invites you to find body parts, then you might want to consider a trip to London.

sounds fun, maybe I’ll go kill myself during the tour to liven things up.
