In Other News; Microsoft Still Likes Money, More Master Chief On The Way

I read an interesting piece of non-news today, dropped by USA Today’s Game Hunter. Basically they report the fact that Microsoft likes to whore out their franchises.

After talking a bit about 2 new upcoming Halo comics and the ODST expansion pack, they quote Frank O’Conner, franchise development director for Halo, with the words; “I doubt we have seen the last of Master Chief.”

No fucking shit! Since Halo is something like the Star Wars of this generation, it’s going be a long time, if ever, before Master Chief throws his last plasma grenade. With the status he has right now they could slap a Spartan Helmet on anything and it would sell like hot cakes. So it’s only natural for MS to milk him like the cash cow he is. Personally I’m waiting for the inevitable Halo Idol Master/Erotic/Rhythm game they will create to tab the Japanese market. That will be soooo awesome!
