Xbox 360 Arcade To Carry Internal Memory – Avatars For All! Yey!
News has reached the internets that new models of Microsoft’s cheapest 360 SKU will carry a whopping 256mb of internal memory. Seemingly in a bid to ensure that not a single 360 owner out there will be denied the experience of designing a crude replica of themselves and paying to clothe it. Surely at this stage MS should really just give up on the Xbox 360′s halfwit sibling, the Arcade, and consign it to dust? Apparently not as they appear to be remaining desperate to keep the entry level model on the shelves (and without a hard drive).
We can only assume that the continued existence of this model is part of some vain attempt to tap into the casual market by keeping down costs. But at the stage where they’re adding internal memory to try to keep it alive, you’ve really got to wonder what the point is any more.
So there you go, we now have a 360 model with the storage capacity of a 5 year old MP3 player. MS have now successfully brought together the two things gamers really want; lack of portability and low storage space. Fantastic.

Man, I can’t even tell you how much I’ve wanted a next-gen console with very low storage space. This is a dream come true! It’ll be like the old days of the PS1, where you kept running out of memory! Nostalgia FTW.
Do want! Seriously though, I don’t know anybody that actually bothered to but an arcade, they just seemed like a waste of time to me.
