Xbox Live Hickups. It’s fixed! Wait… It Broke. Fixed Now! No Wait, Still Broke
With “the biggest moment in the history of the Internet” fast approaching (no, not my Birthday on Monday, the NXE launch), Xbox Live isn’t exactly instilling the feeling of reliability.
All this weekend there have been rumblings of intermittent drop-outs of Xbox Live. Within a few hours Major Nelson was on the scene and informed gamer’s that all was being looked into. Just a short wait later all was fixed.
Update: I’ve learned that these issues have been resolved. Thanks for your patience.
All good then? Turns out Major Nelson learned wrong and his blog was soon updated again after being inundated with complaining gamers.
Update: From reading comments, I see that some folks are still having issues. The Operations center is investigating.
And what did that investigation reveal? That everything was fine of course!
Update: If you are having issues, I suggest you contact support. At this point LIVE members should have no problem connecting and staying connected to LIVE.
I guess a lot of people contacted support. The Xbox Live Status Page finally got updated, admitting there were problems, and Major Nelson updated his blog (again).
Update: We’re noticing a few members are still having issues. We’re investigating. Thanks.
A shaky weekend in what is likely to be the beginning of a very shaky season.
The biggest moment in the history of the Internet.
