1up Reviews LittleBigPlanet… Even Though it Doesn’t Currently Have Multiplayer.

This is a review for LittleBigPlanet. A game which sells itself on not just cute graphics, but some very cool multiplayer creation and user generated content. Impressive then, that 1up can have such a glowing review of the full game up today, especially considering LBP doesn’t technically have online multiplayer or user generated content yet, not least because of server problems.

Why not just have a review of the single player now, and then maybe another in a few weeks for the multiplayer? Perhaps where the reviewer, Nick Suttner, discusses the countless user generated levels (which are yet to be made), it isn’t the game at all that he is talking about and is in fact the Beta? Wait… that wouldn’t make this not a review of the game? Am I doing it wrong?

Like any game driven by player-created content, it’s impossible to predict the future

O rly?

Yes.

LBP thrives on its online components.

It’s one of the few PS3 exclusives that interest me (MGS4 and LBP now).

Heh, you’re going to love Gametrailers’ review then:

Pretty much talked about the great potential of the multiplayer and online without mentioning any of the issues, still giving it a 9.4.

Also, they didn’t recognize the narrator… :(

Scotty, I just watched that and I am almost shocked. Almost.

This is videogame journalism at its finest.
