Microsoft Giving Out Free Memory Cards… Wait, What?
A few days ago I wrote about how the NXE (New Xbox Experience) will not only be mandatory, but also require substantial memory, potentially causing a lot of problems for gamers without hard drives.
Well, there is now a solution. Microsoft are giving away 512MB memory cards for free to people with either Core or Arcade 360s. Simply fill out the serial number and console ID here and all will be sorted.
Not much help if you use 2 memory cards, but still quite surprisingly good news. I think I was half expecting Microsoft to just block any non-updated consoles and offer a swift kick in the balls to anybody who complained.
I would go on about how this highlights the mistakes MS made with the Xbox 360 (like no HD as standard etc.) but I wouldn’t want to put a downer on this rarest of things; a games company not shafting gamers.

I bet they just laced the memory cards with poison.
You’ll see.
It still seems a bit snide, like a rebate you have to jump through hoops for or something.
Also, this must be open to abuse somewhere, pre owned 360 serial numbers or something.
