Destructoid’s Jim Sterling To Play 24 Solid Hours Of SingStar For Charity

Simply SterlingDestructoid’s Reviews Editor, and avid fan of Negative Gamer, Jim Sterling, is doing something special. Well, he’s usually doing something special, but this time it’s something a lot of people will appreciate.

He has agreed to take part in Sarcastic Gamer’s Extra Life, a for-charity event where gamers get sponsored to play a game for 24 hours straight. Jim’s game? SingStar.

Just think about this for a moment. That’s twenty-four hours of singing. If we exceed $5000 by a significant amount, I’ll even take requests. You might be able to force me to sing Total Eclipse of the Heart for an entire hour.

The whole thing will also be broadcast live over the Internets, all from my front room! That’s right, this whole affair will be taking place in my small terrace house. I feel so sorry for my neighbours.

So there you have it, it’s for charity, will be highly amusing, and will upset at least two households of people living near me. So, go chip in $24! It wont kill you, but it might kill Jim!

What an absolute genius idea :) I did that with Grand Theft Auto… although it wasn’t for charity. And it took me thereabouts the same time to complete Super Mario Land… Good luck Jim, and my, with singstar as your only companion for 24 hours straight you’ll bloody well need it!
