MGS4 Getting Perfect Reviews

What is the point in reviews anymore? After all the fuss and subsequent disappointment (and more fuss) GTA IV created, I am keeping my cynical hat firmly on until I get to play MGS for myself.

Famitsu are the fourth and most recent review to give nothing but praise to MGS and grant it the 100% score. Which is odd if you take into account that Konami have given reviewers a list of things they can not talk about in their reviews, causing EGM to not review the game until launch. Instead, offering an in-depth round table discussion.

Why would Konami want things to not be talked about in a review, if the review is giving it a perfect 10 anyway? The only two explantions for this are:

1) Konami are asking people not to talk about some of the game’s good points.

2) These reviews are about as accurate as the GTA reviews and useful as most of the GTA reviews.

I’m edging towards 2 myself.
